Peshawar to Karachi — a young man’s dream to serve humanity through nursing

Meet Nouman Stephen, a bright and determined young man from Peshawar, Pakistan, who select his path in the field of healthcare.

Coming from a Christian family with six siblings, Nouman knows the value of hard work and perseverance. His mother serves patients at Khyber Teaching Hospital, while his father contributes through his work as a private medical representative. Therefore, inspired by their dedication, Nouman also decided to purse his dream in healthcare.

Currently, Nouman is a 7th-semester student in the BSN Generic program at the Amazing Grace School of Nursing, affiliated with Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) in Karachi. Pursuing higher education in a different city is not easy, but Nouman proved his resilience.

Thanks to the RAPID Scholarship Program, Nouman has received financial support not just once, but three times — a gesture that he calls “a true blessing.” This support has enabled him to focus on his studies without the burden of financial stress, bringing him one step closer to his dream: becoming a Master’s-level nursing scholar and a leader in healthcare, serving communities that often go underserved.

“I aim to serve humanity, particularly in my community — including Christians and the surrounding neighborhoods,” says Nouman. “This scholarship has given me the strength and opportunity to chase my goals.”

At Rapid Charity, stories like Nouman’s remind us why we do what we do. Every scholarship is more than financial aid — it’s an investment in a future caregiver, a changemaker, a community leader.

We are proud to be part of Nouman’s journey and look forward to the impact he will make in the years to come.
